Description

Drum leaf binding workshop

Drum leaf binding is a glue based binding structure that comes together quickly and neatly, and has lay-flat, full page spreads that make it perfect for photo work and single-sided printing.

In this workshop we’ll talk very very briefly about the history of the structure, and then get our hands on some glue and paper! First we’ll make journals together to learn the form and then talk about how to add boards, drop spines, and cloth covers to elevate the form. Depending on interest we can talk about design and printing tips for planning an edition.
